NAVSARI

This is one of the ancient towns of Gujarat state which bears an importance of Parsi settlement here during 1142AD. Navsari is the district headquarters with an area of 2209sq.km and famous for its cutting and polishing of diamonds. Moreover, this historic town is renowned for the’ Dandi March Salt Satyagraha’ performed by Mahatma Gandhi is 1930 is located at the eastern side of this district.                                          

Located on the banks of the Purna River, Navsari the district headquarters is famous for cutting and polishing of diamonds. The major points of tourist attractions are the Sanatorium, Fire Temple, town of silence, small Agiaris and Dandi located at 16km north-east, the place of ‘Dandi March Salt Sathyagraha’ performed by Mahatma Gandhi in 1930 during the struggle of independence.

DANDI

This is a beach town renowned as salt centre. The beach has a pleasant sea shore and wild water current which is congenial for water sports. From 1930, Mahatma Gandhi’s ‘Dandi March Salt Sathyagraha’ this spot has its highlights in the history of India’s freedom struggle.

GANESHWAD SESODRA

It is a belief about four centuries back, Lord Ganesha appeared here from one of the Banyan trees. This place is filled with thick grove of banyan trees around and many legends are associated to this place. The main festivals are Bhadrapad Shuddha Chaturthi and Chaitra Vadya Ekadashi.
